Workout: 30-min tempo starting at 25 seconds slower than race pace and then last mile at race pace. Decided race pace would be 5:20

Planned a 7 mile block to give good warm up and cooldown distance. Warmed up a mile and felt real calm and collected but a little nervous because my watch battery was low. First mile was a 5:42 so a little too fast, watch batter got to 3% at 1.5 in so I turned gps off and used it mostly for a timer. At this point I was already hurting so I knew I was in for it. Kept grinding through since this was my only workout this week so I was going to give it everything I could. Got to the turn that meant 4 miles in and started to get loopy but kept going hard. At what I think was 5 things got fuzzy and by the end I was seeing spots. Watch buzzed at 30 and I just stumbled to a stop and sat down on a curb in front of a church and just kinda sat there for a long time. Splits are without gps so they aren't the most accurate 5:42, 5:34, 5:25, 5:17, 5:15, last .6 @ 5:14. I did the math and although my loop was only 6.9 I ran 5.6 (I know this because I only cooled down .3) in 30 minutes so averaged a 5:21. Also the last 3.1 was a 16:19 5k so I guess I can update that. I feel more healthy both mentally and physically than I did at peak during senior year. There's no way I would have been able to do this during track or xc

AM: only 6 because I waited too long and it got too hot for 10 solo 6:55 avg

PM: supposed to be 4 but things happen and ended up doing 5. Also was the nearby neighborhood party and I got a lotta strange looks running past that. Was wearing boas and no shirt cause got bloody nose. Had blood down my chest from said bloody nose. lol. 6:54 avg (at least the pacing was consistent)

Also this blog does miles wrong. Sunday is not the beginning of the week smh. It's messing with my mileage math

11:15PM: Austin decided to do a relaxed 5 or 6 with me big ups to him for that. Mildly creepy dark night run, was just cruising along for all of it. Calves are pretty tight so gotta roll those out and take care to them but other than that feeling great. 6:55 avg

So. Don't eat sushi night before a workout, especially a workout like that. 3x2mile @ race pace. Ouch. First one was a 10:59 so right on pace but I was feeling some stomach pains. Started the second one with Mike and gill along pacing and it just hurt. It hurt so bad I came through the first mile and just face planted onto the grass and nearly cried a little. Sucked it up and told myself to get over it and did another mile but my system was having none of that. Disappointing to say the least. Finished up to 8 for the day after things calmed down. Didn't do abs again....

Decided to head to skyridge practice today and do some mile repeats. Warmed up over to the junior high and got to drive gills car so that was a pretty good start to the day. The course for the repeats was a little iffy tho, super long grass and a lot of turns made it difficult to open up and get going. First one was a 5:18 so not horrible but the next had to be stronger. Went out rarely strong and ended up leading wire to wire and I was always conscious of Mike right behind me. He started going hard the last .15 but I wasn't letting him have it that easy, it was close but I got him. 5:09 for that one. Dipped out for the last set. Finished up to 11 for the day. 7:04 avg with workout

SOOOOO todays blog is going to contain a rant. It's going to be a pretty rude rant. Be advised lol. Started out on the lakeshore trail cause it' my favorite and wanted to see how far out into Saratoga I could get. Thing is to get there you have to run through a lovely private community that has nice trees that provide nice shde and cause they rich and don't care they always got sprinklers going at 11:30. It's real nice. However, some prude reports me to the neighborhood watch(see below for long rant and explanation). At about 5 from my house I left the private community and exited out to Redwood Rd and the little path on the side of it is a whole bunch of rolling hills and they were never bigger than 10 ft but there was so many it added to my rage from earlier. Ended up with a couple 6:30s for no good reason. 6:50 avg for all 12

begin rant: ok. so during mile 4 a little after entering the private community some suburban drives by me real slow and i look over at the person driving and this lady wearing sunglasses is giving me a glare of disapproval so strong i felt it through those momma sunglasses. She then drives off and parks at a little park about .05 up from me and gets out and makes a big show of getting out her phone and dialing something. Then gets back in her car and proceeds to follow me for .2 until a truck rolls up and some dude gets out and yells for me to come over to him. I was getting real upset now so i ran over to him asking what the big deal is and he asks me why i think it's acceptable for me to talk to woman like that. first off: whaaaaaa??? i hadnt said a word, at most i made a few confused glances her way.  i ask him what he is talking about and he gets heated yelling at me to be respectful and to put some clothes on because i looked like a "whore from fresh across the border"(im not even mexican you ignorant turd). at this point things click. dumb prudent suburban mormon mom over there doesn't like me running around in shorts in her precious community and this racist dude has some superiority complex cause he's a member of the dumb neighborhood watch (it was on his truck lol). then this lady made up me saying rude and innappropiate things to her cause she doesn't like me avoiding heat stroke. i really wanted to speak my mind and say some things but instead just kept running at a pretty fast pace cause i wanted no more of those two. well racist bigot back there calls the cops citing an insubordinate youth making innappropriate advances on a woman. what the hell. sure enough a cop drives up when im at 4.8 and stops me asking me what i was doing. maybe i was feeling smart but i simply replied i was running before those two harrassed me. he hears out both sides but heres the fun part. truck guy makes a comment about me likely being an illegal and the prudent thot says i shouldnt be allowed to commit public indecency running around like a stripper. cop then turns to both of them and tells the lady that i am perfectly in the right to dress like that and he tells the guy that abusing the cops with a false report can be a crime. he then advises both of them that rude remarks are harrassment and that they should both keep those things quiet. after those two donkeys drive off giving me dirty looks he turns to me saying i should "learn to hold my smartass tongue" but to be on my way. let me run in peace dammit :end rant

Had some company for this run and that was a relief. Twins and Col(l)ins. Paced Collin's workout which was 2x10min tempo with 2 mins rest. I did my best to keep things fast on the first one but I took a pitstop during rest and was playing catch up for the second one. Finished up to 8. 7:03 avg for all 8

4.5 to skyridge then 5 with the guys up there which was real nice. On my 4.5 back home I realized it had been three hours since I last ate anything and it was hurting pretty bad; hurt bad enough that a little old lady looked up from her book and got be a glass of apple juice. Never has a glass of apple juice tasted that good. 7:04 avg for all of it

Didn't really get my legs moving until 4 miles in on account of my calves being rather tight. Once they did get warmed up things got smooth easily held 6:10 for the rest of the run until I met up with the guys for some easier grass miles. Also forgot to unpause my watch so I missed 1.5 of it :/

Not really sure what happened or why it happened but today's run went alright. I started out and I just felt great, kept going and by mile 4 I was sub-6 then stayed around 5:45 for the rest of the run. I have a new 10k PR now so that's kinda neat. Twas a good one, though I slacked on abs cause they were tired. Whoops lol 5:54 avg

Also got hit by a pretty bad side ache at a little over 5 out but other than just cruised with Mike. Went to skyridge practice and decided I'd do the workout with them. And by them it was pretty just Dallin. Did my best to pace things but might have messed up a little bit on the last 800 hehe. Was surprised with how easily I did all of it but I have a lot of miles this week so no more intense miles for me.
